Social Media Policy
As a club (Annbank United Community Football Club) we require to acknowledge that social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, You tube etc. are more prominent now and are used by many people to share and express views and opinions.
We do also require as a club to be aware of same and the consequences that opinions and views can or may cause damage to a club such as ours. We need to ensure that all parties inclusive (committee, management, supporters and sponsors) all remain protected within this environment.
No derogatory, defamatory, obscene, discriminating or bullying remarks should be made on any of our social media outlets. You are held personally responsible and you require not only to be aware of same but be aware that in some instances legal/criminal proceedings can be initiated. Any comments therefore made are at your own risk and we encourage you to desist from making any comments that would be deemed to be damaging either to the Club, committee, management, sponsors or indeed fellow supporters or clubs.
We wish to ensure a professional approach at all times within our Club. The Club’s reputation can be impacted by any comments online which can have a negative as well as a positive impact. Be very careful in terms of any postings made and think before posting!
Any content that is produced and displayed by us on our website and other social media from the Club is the sole intellectual property of the owner/creator. Any unauthorised copying or redistribution of part or all of the content thereof is prohibited except with the express permission of the owner/creator.
Committee members must maintain confidentiality of anything discussed in terms of meetings throughout the season and should not post anything online or discuss with supporters any information they are privy to. This may include development proposals, team injuries, players/trialists and sponsors etc.
Whilst we appreciate that Social Media is well used by supporters, committees, sponsors and management alike to keep in touch and enjoy friendly banter just ensure that you do not cross the line. Be sensible please.
