Club History

Annbank United Community Football Club are based in the former mining village of Annbank in South Ayrshire. The club was originally formed in 1939 and the club nickname is 'The Bankies'. Since origin, the club competed at junior level until 2020-2021 when they then took an abeyance from the West Of Scotland league.

During this time a new team in Annbank had already been formed to compete in the Ayrshire Amateur League for the 20/21 season and after news of the abeyance, both committees met and agreed to come together to form Annbank United Community Football Club.

The club will compete in Division 2A of the Ayrshire Amateur League for the 20/21 season and will review the option of returning to the West Of Scotland league in the future.

At end of Season 2021/22 we were crowned Division 2A League Champions and 100% invincible throughout that season. Played 18 games won 18 games. Promotion followed to Division 1 for season 2022/23.

During Season 2022/23 success continued and we were crowned Division 1 League Champions and Ayrshire Cup Winners scoring in the process 137 goals in 36 games.

Our short story thus far is back to back league winners, Ayrshire Cup Winners and holders, 3 trophies in 2 seasons and winning 33 out of 36 league games across both seasons.
