ANNBANK UNITED COMMUNITY FOOTBALL CLUB
Annbank United Community Football Club is strongly committed to providing a safe environment for all players, coaches and volunteers in encouraging our members to take part, but the health, well-being and safety of each individual is always our paramount concern.
We will ensure that we undertake the necessary compliance with all relevant statutory provisions to put in place the necessary measures in order to reduce as far as is possible and avoid/limit risk. We will as necessary undertake risk assessments and that appropriate procedures/policies are in place to ensure compliance and that these said procedures/policies will be regularly reviewed and updated as is required.
HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY:
To support our Health and Safety policy statement we are committed to the following duties:
Undertake regular, recorded risk assessment of the club premises and all activities undertaken by the club.
Create a safe environment by putting health and safety measures in place as identified by any assessment.
Ensure that all members are given the appropriate level of training and competition by regularly assessing individual ability dependant on age, maturity and development.
Ensure that all members are aware of, understand and follow the club’s health and safety policy.
Appoint a competent club member to assist with health and safety responsibilities.
Ensure that normal operating procedures and emergency operating procedures are in place and known by all members.
Provide access to adequate first aid facilities, telephone and qualified first aider at all times.
Report any injuries or accidents sustained during any club activity or whilst on the club premises.
Ensure that the implementation of the policy is reviewed regularly and monitored for effectiveness.
All committee members and volunteers have a duty of care and to provide assistance when required to their own individual level of competence to include and not restricted to calling for expert assistance where necessary.
Our First Aider/s namely Stephen Barrett and Stuart Little will or do hold a Sports Injury Certificate/first aid certificate as required in terms of the SAFA constitution and the AAFA constitution rule c2(i) and will be present at each game.
The First Aider/s will provide first aid attention to players and the public if necessary whilst within New Pebble Park. Will recognise their limitations and remain with the injured party until no further treatment is required or the matter is passed on to ambulance/medical personnel.
Update the accident book and follow procedure to include where necessary contacting an ambulance or arranging the transporting with help of committee members as required of the injured party to the hospital. A defibrillator is located the Village Hall/Community Hall in Annbank beside ground.
